F.O.R. Youth Tackle Football

Future Owasso Rams (FOR) Youth Tackle Football program is a prestigious member of the
Indian Nations Football Conference (INFC) and the oldest and largest football league in Owasso. Owasso FOR football fosters a sense of community that gives both participants and spectators the experience of belonging to something larger than themselves. This is why kids love playing for their schools, why high school football games in small cities can draw tens of thousands of spectators week after week, and why adults identify with their college teams years after they have graduated. Playing for an institution or a community gives kids a chance to feel that they are making a genuine contribution to a larger group.

WE ARE "THE OWASSO RAMS!"

Owasso Youth Football Goes Pink with A Crucial Catch

What is A Crucial Catch?

Since 2009, the NFL has supported National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October with A Crucial Catch, a nationwide screening reminder campaign to help women stay healthy. Done in collaboration with the American Cancer Society, the initiative promotes breast cancer awareness and encourages women 40 and older to get annual mammograms to find breast cancer in the early stages, when it is easiest to treat.

Future Owasso Rams (F.O.R.) has designated Saturday October 8th as our primary weekend to support Breast Cancer Awareness.

Game-day activities will include:

  • F.O.R. will be donating 10% of all tickets sales to American Cancer Society NFL, A Crucial Catch program.
  • Players and coaching staff are encouraged to wear pink on their uniforms, wrists, socks, wristbands, shoelaces, etc.  Feel free to be creative— use pink sharpie, duct tape, ribbon.
  • All our games will be played in memory / in honor of all those in our community who been affected by breast cancer. Pre-game announcements will be made before each game.
  • Please encourage all our fans and family members of players to wear pink as well. They are welcome to create pink posters to be displayed at the game to show support.
  • We will also be passing the pink bucket to collect donations from the crowd.
  • Uploading pictures to facebook.com/owassoyouthfootball for all fans to become aware.

If you have someone you would like to be honored during these events please contact director@owassoyouthfootball.org .
